SOFTBALL MOVES UP IN EAST REGIONAL RANKINGS

Indianapolis, IN (4/19/12) The NCAA yesterday released the latest regional softball poll for the East Region in Division II and the Dominican College softball team has moved up to seventh in the region. The rankings are based upon voting ballots by the regional advisory committee and include all contests through April 15th.

Indianapolis, IN (4/18/12)  The NCAA yesterday released the latest regional softball poll for the East Region in Division II and the Dominican College softball team has moved up to seventh in the region.  The rankings are based upon voting ballots by the regional advisory committee and include all contests through April 15th.

In last week ranking, the Lady Chargers were ranked ninth.

NCAA Division II Regional Rankings

DC posted a 10-2 record last week to improve to 30-14 overall and 21-1 in the conference.

Fellow Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) member, Caldwell College, is also in the rankings as they were ranked fifth in the region.  The Lady Chargers have played six of the top 10 teams in the region and hold victories over C.W. Post (3), Assumption College (9) and a sweep over Dowling College (10). 

The Lady Chargers take on Caldwell tomorrow at the DC Softball Field.
