CHILDERS NAMED CACC PITCHER OF THE WEEK

Orangeburg, NY (3/19/12) Dominican College softball player, Delaney Childers, has been named the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Pitcher of the Week for the period ending March 18th. This is Childers's second Pitcher of the Week honors this season. Concordia's Angela D'Amico has been named Player of the Week, while Samantha Alonzo was tabbed the Rookie of the Week.

Orangeburg, NY (3/19/12)  Dominican College softball player, Delaney Childers, has been named the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Pitcher of the Week for the period ending March 18th.  This is Childers's second Pitcher of the Week honors this season.  Concordia's Angela D'Amico has been named Player of the Week, while Samantha Alonzo was tabbed the Rookie of the Week.

Childers, a junior left-handed pitcher from Johnstown OH, fanned 18 over 21 innings last week while posting a 2-1 mark.    She allowed just three earned runs and did not issue a single walk over the 21.0 innings. Childers also posted a 1.00 ERA for the week while tossing three complete games.  She also hit .526 over six games last week.
