Orangeburg, NY (5/15/09)  Dominican College softball players, Sarah Beck and Nicole Scarillo, have been named to the 2009 Louisville Slugger/NFCA Division II East All-Region Team as was announced yesterday.

Beck, a senior left fielder from Milton, NY, was named to the All-Region First Team.  She led the CACC with a .407 batting average, runs scored (49), hits (77), total bases (123), RBIs 959), is fifth in the CACC with 17 doubles and is second with nine home runs.  She is the 2009 CACC Player of the Year.

Scarillo, a sophomore catcher from South Amboy, NJ, received All-Region Second Team honors.  She finished second on the team and 13th in the CACC with a .368 batting average.  She leads the CACC with a .663 slugging percentage and in home runs (13).  She was recently named to All-CACC First Team
