Orangeburg, NY (5/13/09)  Dominican College softball players, Nicole Scarillo and Sarah Beck, were named to the 2009 Daktronics NCAA Division II East All-Region First Team as was announced yesterday.

Scarillo, a sophomore catcher from South Amboy, NJ, finished second on the team and 13th in the CACC with a .368 batting average.  She leads the CACC with a .663 slugging percentage and in home runs (13).  She was recently named to All-CACC First Team.

Beck, a senior left fielder from Milton, NY, leads the CACC with a .407 batting average, runs scored (49), hits (77), total bases (123), RBIs 959), is fifth in the CACC with 17 doubles and is second with nine home runs.  She is the 2009 CACC Player of the Year.
