Orangeburg, NY (4/29/09)  The Dominican College softball team has moved up to seventh place in the latest NCAA Division II East Region Poll which was released today.

Dominican moves up one spot this week as they were eighth last week.  The team is currently 38-12 overall and riding a 19 game winning streak.  DC secured the top seed in the upcoming Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Tournament after defeating Caldwell College, ranked fourth in the East Region Poll, 2-0 this past Monday.

The Lady Chargers also have a double-header sweep of #5 Georgian Court University, a non-conference victory over #6 Southern Connecticut State University and a double-header sweep of #10 New York Institute of Technology this season.

Fellow CACC members, Caldwell College and Georgian Court University, also remain in this week's poll.
