DOMINICAN'S PIASECKI NAMED CACC PLAYER OF THE WEEK FOR SECOND TIME THIS SEASON

New Haven, CT (4/28/08) Dominican College softball player, Cara Piasecki, has been named the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Player of the Week for games played April 21-27. This is the second time Piasecki has been named Player of the Week this season.

New Haven, CT (4/28/08)  Dominican College softball player, Cara Piasecki, has been named the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Player of the Week for games played April 21-27.  This is the second time Piasecki has been named Player of the Week this season.

A sophomore from Port Monmouth, NJ, Piasecki hit .559, drove in 14 runs, scored seven times and hit two homers and five doubles in a 7-3 week for DC.  She went 3-4 with six RBIs in game one of a double-header against Wilmington University.  She went 4-4 with one run and two RBIs in a 11-0 win over Post University.  She was had a three hit game in a win over USP.

The Lady Chargers are currently 28-22 overall and 18-6 in the CACC.  They have clinched the third seed in the upcoming CACC Tournament.
