Lady Chargers Softball Sweep Double Header From St. Thomas Aquinas College

Blauvelt, NY (3/30/07) The Dominican College softball team swept a non-conference double header from host St. Thomas Aquinas College this afternoon. The Lady Chargers took the first game 10-9 and won the second, 6-4.

Blauvelt, NY (3/30/07)  The Dominican College softball team swept a non-conference double header from host St. Thomas Aquinas College this afternoon.  The Lady Chargers took the first game 10-9 and won the second, 6-4.

In the first game, Sarah Beck (Milton, NY), Melanie Hestermann (Lacey Township, NJ), Christine Stathes (Cornwall, NY) and Danielle Garrison (Coatesville, PA) all had home runs in the game.  Garrison went 3-4 with 3 RBIs, while Beck and Stathes each had two hits in the win.

Trailing 4-2 after three innings, DC scored eight runs in the final five innings for the 10-9 victory.

In game two, lead off hitter Kristine Knuth (Staten Island, NY) led the team with two hits and a run scored, while Beck went 2-4 with 1 RBis.
