Dominican Trio Named to CACC All-Academic Team

Blauvelt, NY -- Three female-student athletes from Dominican College were named to the CACC All-Academic Team to conclude its inaugural All-Academic program for the 2004-2005 year.

Danielle Gornie (Shrub Oak, NY), Michelle Krupna (Sparta, NJ) and Leah Wilhelmsen (Hopewell Junction, NY) were among 53 student-athletes from the CACC who were honored. Recipients must have participated in a CACC spring championship or designated sport, been at least a sophomore athletically and academically, been a student at their current school for at least two semesters and achieved a cumulative grade-point average of at least 3.50.

Gornie, a junior, has a GPA of 3.63, while sophomores Krupna and Wilhelmsen have GPAs of 3.55 and 3.59, respectively.

All three student-athletes are members of the Lady Charger softball program.

The CACC honored 167 student-athletes from all 12 member schools in 12 sports in the 2004-2005 academic year.
