MEN'S SOCCER FALL TO NYACK COLLEGE

Nyack, NY (10/8/11) The Dominican College men's soccer team lost a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) game to host, Nyack College, 2-1, this afternoon. With the loss Dominican falls to 4-4-3 overall and 3-2-2 in the conference play, while Nyack improves to 6-4-1 overall and 3-3-1 in the CACC.

Nyack,  NY (10/8/11)  The Dominican College men's soccer team lost a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) game to host, Nyack College, 2-1, this afternoon.  With the loss Dominican falls to 4-4-3 overall and 3-2-2 in the conference play, while Nyack improves to 6-4-1 overall and 3-3-1 in the CACC.

Nyack netted the game's first goal in the 15th minute of play for the 1-0 lead.  Dominican came back at the 30:50 mark to tie the game at 1-all as Matthew Shutter (Alpine, NY) scored a goal on a head shot off the corner kick assist from Alan Heavey (Huntington Station, NY).

Eight minutes later Nyack regained a 2-1 advantage which ultimately gave them the 2-1 victory.

Senior goalie Brandon Heembrock (Ottawa, Canada) made five saves in the loss.

Dominican is back in action on Wednesday when they travel to Le Moyne College in a non-conference game scheduled for 4pm.
