MEN'S SOCCER TIE WITH BLOOMFIELD COLLEGE

Bloomfield, NJ (9/28/11) The Dominican College men's soccer team played to 1-1 double overtime tie with host, Bloomfield College, this evening in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) game played at Foley FIeld. With the tie, Dominican now stands at 3-3-2 overall and 2-1-1 in conference play.

Bloomfield, NJ (9/28/11)  The Dominican College men's soccer team played to 1-1 double overtime tie with host, Bloomfield College, this evening in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) game played at Foley FIeld.  With the tie, Dominican now stands at 3-3-2 overall and 2-1-1 in conference play.

The game was scoreless until the 70th minute when sophomore forward Jorge Zubillaga (Uruguay) received a ball from senior Alan Heavey (Huntington Station, NY) and tallied his second goal of the season for the 1-0 lead.

The Deacons tied the game in the 74th minute to force the overtime.

Halfway through the first overtime, Charger keeper Brandon Heembrock* (Ottawa, Canada) stopped a penalty shot.

Heembrock recorded 11 saves in the game.

Dominican returns to action on Saturday when they travel to Goldey-Beacom College for a conference game scheduled to start at 3pm.
