DUMBUYA NAMED ECAC DIVISION II 2010 ALL-STAR
Cape Cod, MA (12/21/10) Commissioner Rudy Keeling has announced the 2010 Division II Men’s Soccer All-Stars and yearly awards. Dominican College men's soccer player, John Dumbuya, is among those chosen for the All-Eastern Athletic Conference (ECAC) 2010 team.

Cape Cod, MA (12/21/10) Commissioner Rudy Keeling has announced the 2010 Division II Men's Soccer All-Stars and yearly awards. Dominican College men's soccer player, John Dumbuya, is among those chosen for the All-Eastern Athletic Conference (ECAC) 2010 team.
Earning Offensive Player of the Year honors is Markus Naglestad, a freshman from the University of Bridgeport. Southern Connecticut State University's defender Paul Templeton garners the Division II Defensive Player of the Year award, while Rookie of the Year goes to Le Moyne's freshman goalkeeper Matt Silva.
Naglestad scored 15 goals and added nine assists to total 39 points for the Purple Knights. Despite playing in the backfield, Templeton scored three goals and assisted on three others. Silva, who also made the All-ECAC Team as a goalkeeper, had a 0.67 goals against average through 15 games, ending the season with a 0.87 save percentage and six shutouts.
Two other forwards selected to the team, senior Harry Appiah and sophomore Ross McGibney, come from Southern Connecticut. Appiah had four goals and five assists for 13 points on the season, while McGibney netted nine and assisted on two for the Owls. Rounding out the forwards is senior Angelo Reina from Le Moyne. Reina scored six goals for the Dolphins, two of which were game winners.
Two of the three midfielders also come from Southern Connecticut, sophomore Yoni Feldman and senior Victor Hernandez. Feldman had three assists to accompany his lone goal, a game-winning mark. Hernandez had five goals and nine assists for a total of 19 points. Jesse Carr, a junior from Le Moyne, makes the team with his three goals and six assists for the Dolphins.
Dumbuya, a senior from Dominican College, earns a spot on defense with one goal in his 21 games for the Chargers. Vladimir Milosavljevic, a junior from Dowling, provided strong defensive support for the Golden Lions. Christoph Hampel, a grad student from Mercyhurst, had eleven goals and three assists on the year while playing in the back, and Sean Lawlor, a senior from Le Moyne, had one of each.
