Bloomfield was ranked as high as 13th in the nation on Oct. 12 and is now ranked fifth in the East Region. The Deacons, who advanced to the tournament championship game last season, concluded the regular-season 13-3-1 overall and 10-0-1 in conference play. BC features a potent offense, as the team ranks first in the CACC with 47 goals and 2.76 goals per-game. The team has scored at least three goals in a game nine times this season. The Deacons are also firing the most shots per-game in the conference, with 18.53. The Deacons also have a solid defense and rank fourth in the conference with 1.18 goals allowed per-game. Senior Dwayne Reid and junior Terry Gibbs are the two highest-scoring players in the conference. Reid leads with 15 goals scored and 35 total points, while Gibbs is second in both categories with 12 goals and 27 points. Bloomfield faces No. 8 Holy Family University in the quarter-final round. In their earlier match-up this season, Bloomfield came away with a 3-1 victory on Oct. 9. The Tigers went 7-8-3 overall and 4-5-2 in conference play this season.
Philadelphia secured the No. 2 seed with an 8-2-1 conference record and an 11-5-2 overall mark. The Rams recently scored a 1-0 win against No. 6 regionally-ranked St. Thomas Aquinas College on Oct. 25, while tying Bloomfield on Oct. 16. The Rams will be led by junior Ryan Purnell, who is tied for fourth in the CACC with 19 points behind six goals and seven assists. Senior Wojciech Sliwinski is tied for 10th with five goals.
