# 4 MEN'S SOCCER FALL TO #5 FRANKLIN PIERCE UNIVERSITY

Syracuse, NY (11/13/09)  The fourth seeded Dominican College Chargers men's soccer team fell to the fifth seeded Ravens of Franklin Pierce University, 2-1 this afternoon in NCAA Tournament action at the Niland Athletic Complex on the campus of top-seeded Le Moyne College.

The Ravens took a 1-0 lead in the 17th minute of action on a shot from the 16 yard line.

Dominican tied the game at 70:21 as senior forward Joe Wright (Stratford-Upon-Avon, England) netted his 16th goal of the season on a shot from the 15 yard line that went through the hands and legs of the FPU keeper.

The game winning goal came two minutes later for the Ravens off a shot from the 25 yard line that hit the cross bar and into the net for the 2-1 Franklin Pierce victory.

The Ravens out shot the Chargers 24-16 and held a 7-3 advantage in corner kicks.

Chargers keeper Brandon Heembrock (Ottawa, Canada) made five saves in the loss.

With the loss Dominican ends their season with an 13-4-2 record.
