HEEMBROCK NAMED CACC ROOKIE OF THE WEEK

Orangeburg, NY (10/20/08) Dominican college men's soccer player Brandon Heembrock has been named the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Rookie of the Week for the week ending October 19, as was announced by the conference office today.

Orangeburg, NY (10/20/08)  Dominican college men's soccer player Brandon Heembrock has been named the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Rookie of the Week for the week ending October 19, as was announced by the conference office today.

Heembrock, a freshman goal keeper from Ottawa, Canada, post two shutouts in a 2-0 week for the Chargers.  He stopped five shots in a 2-0 victory over CACC rival, Nyack College, and four shots against regionally ranked CACC opponent, Wilmington University, in a 1-0 victory.

Heembrock has started all 14 games in the net for Dominican this season and has six shutout victories.  He currently has a goals against average of 1.02 and has accumlated 53 saves for a .791 save percentage.

Dominican is back in action on Thursday when they travel to Bloomfield College in CACC men's soccer action.  Game time is 3:30 pm in Bloomfield, NJ.
