Dominican Chargers Upend St. Anselm College, 1-0

In the 61st minute of play, senior keeper
Robert Kelly (Kearny, NJ) kicked a long ball that
sailed over midfield to a waiting Ryan Clancy (Pine Bush,
NY) who then put it past the diving Hawk keeper to lift
the Chargers to the 1-0 victory.
The Chargers out shot the Hawks, 10-8, but St. Anselm had the edge with three corner kicks to Dominican's one.
Hawk keeper Scott Johnson (Plymouth, MA) had four saves in the loss, while Charger keeper Kelly had two saves.
Dominican is back in action on Saturday when they host Holy Family University in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) game at 3pm at the Dominican College Soccer Field.
