Dominican Shuts Out St. Rose, 6-0

Blauvelt, NY (10/11/05) Dominican College improved their record to 11-1 after shutting out the College of St. Rose, 6-0 this afternoon in a game held at Dominican College.

Diego Miranda (Quito, Ecuador) netting the game’s first goal at 11:47 off the assist by fellow sophomore Jhonny Arteaga (Cali, Colombia). Senior Kyle Clancy (Walden, NY) scored a goal at 42:44 off the assist by Joe Ruesgan (Scotland) to end the first half.

Early in the second half, Kyle Clancy would strike again, this time off the assist by Miranda at 50:47 to make the score 3-0. Sophomore Ruesgan added a goal at 62:40 off the double assist by seniors Scott Silvia (Dighton, MA) and Brent Gaylord (Phoenix, AZ).

Sophomore Ryan Clancy (Walden, NY) netted the game’s final two goals, one at 75:24 off the assist by Miranda and the other at 78:58 off another assist by Gaylord.

Golden Knight keeper Pete Cappiello (Yorktown Heights, NY) had six saves in 90:00. Dominican out shot St. Rose 19-3.

The Chargers are back in action on Saturday, October 15 as they host CACC foe Caldwell College at 12pm.
