Dominican Turns Back Felician, 3-1
Blauvelt, NY (9/15/05)Dominican College improved their record to 6-1 and 2-0 in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference after turning back Felician College, 3-1 this afternoon in a game held at Dominican College. Felician falls to 0-4 and 0-1 in the CACC.
Felician attacked first as sophomore Tae Woong Rho (Ridgefield, NJ) converted a penalty kick at 24:11.
Dominican fought back as senior Scott Silvia (Dighton, MA) netted a goal 31:26 to tie the game a 1-1.
The score would remain a tie until the 50th minute of play as Joe Ruesgan (Scotland) netted his first goal of the season off the double assist by Ryan Clancy (Walden, NY) and Jhonny Arteaga (Cali, Colombia), putting the Chargers up 2-1. Clancy would later add a goal at 53:07, converting on a penalty kick.
Charger goal keeper, Robert Kelly (Kearny, NJ), had three saves, while Golden Falcon keeper Nick Lyons (Jackson, NJ) had four saves in the loss.
The Chargers are back in action on Saturday, September 17 as they host Wilmington College at 2 pm.
