2012 Dominican College Men’s Lacrosse Season Summary


The Dominican College men’s lacrosse program finished the 2012 season with a 1-13 record and an East Coast Conference (ECC) record of 0-10.

 

DC squared off against five nationally ranked teams, including the NCAA Division II Champions, Dowling College.  The Chargers also faced top-ranked Mercyhurst College, Merrimack College, New York Institute of Technology and Seton Hill College this season.  Their win came against Roberts Wesleyan College, 11-9.

 

Sophomore midfielder Thomas “TJ” Dertinger led the Chargers in scoring and total points this season.  He finished 18th in the ECC in scoring.

 

Junior goalie Andrew Slater led the conference this season in goals and finished second in the nation in saves per game. 

 

Senior Korin Pierce led the team this season in assists and finished second in total points.  He ranked in the top twenty in the ECC in assists.

 

Connor Lawlor received the team’s Most Valuable Player (MVP) Award and Shea Finn was the recipient of the Coach’s Award at the Annual Awards Night.

 

The team graduates two players: Pierce and Matthew Brown, both of whom were contributing members of the Charger lineup. 

 

First-year coach, Bill Kurisko will look to bring in a number of talented players for the 2013 season.
