Purchase, NY (3/30/12) The Mercy College men's lacrosse team defeated the visiting Chargers of Dominican College, 8-2 this afternoon in East Coast Conference (ECC) played at the SUNY-Purchase Field. With the loss, Dominican falls to 0-6 overall and 0-3 in conference play while Mercy improves to 4-3 overall and 4-2 in the ECC.
Chris Delaney (Port Coquitlam, BC, Canada) and Thomas Dertinger (Nanuet, NY) had the Chargers goals in the third and fourth quarters.
Goalie Andrew Slater (Brookfield, CT) made 13 saves in the loss.
Dominican is back in action on Wednesday, April 4th when they take on Dowling College at 4pm on DC Lacrosse Field
