SPANISH NATIONAL TEAM TABS RAPKIN AS HEAD COACH

The Spanish National Lacrosse Team is pleased to announce the head coach for the 2008 European Lacrosse Championships and the 2010 World Championships.

 Manny Rapkin has been selected as head coach of the Spanish National Lacrosse team.  Manny Rapkin is presently the assistant coach at NCAA Division II Dominican College. His coaching career began as an assistant at Clarkstown North H.S. in New City N.Y. and continued at Desert Mountian H.S. and Saguaro H.S. in Scottsdale A.Z. Rapkin a 1978 graduate of Clarkstown North H.S. played collegiate lacrosse at Division I Siena College.  Manny is Spanish descent
through his mother.

Spain will participate in its first European Championship next year in Lathi, Finland after its first international appearance in last year's World Championship in Canada, where the National Team achieved an impressive 3-4 record for a beginner country.

Tha Spanish National Team selection will begin this summer in Madrid, Spain, during the Madrid Lacrosse  Open September 15th -16th . Any Spanish Passport holders or Canada and U.S. citizens with Spanish heritage interested in tryouts can contact Coach Rapkin at mrapkins02@aol.com.
