CLINTON, PORTER HEAD ALL MET DIVISION II MEN'S TEAMS
Orangeburg, N.Y. (4/11/13) Dominican College men's basketball coach, Joseph Clinton, has been named the All Met Division II Coach of the Year as was released by the Metropolitan Basketball Writers Association today. Senior Leon Porter (Laurel, Md.) was tabbed the Co-Player of the Year, while senior Cory Quimby* (Otisville, N.Y.) was named to the All-Met First Team.

Senior Leon Porter (Laurel, Md.) was tabbed the Co-Player of the Year, while senior Cory Quimby* (Otisville, N.Y.) was named to the All-Met First Team.
A 5-5 senior guard from Laurel, Md., Porter ranked 11th in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference with 15.5 ppg and fifth in free throw percentage (83.6%). He had 122 assists (4.2 apg), 1.3 steals and scored 449 points this season to finish third on the Chargers all-time scoring list with 1,757 points.
Clinton guided the Chargers to 22-7 overall record (15-3 conference), winning the CACC North Division regular season title. The team received an at-large berth in the NCAA men's Division II tournament, but fell short to New Haven in the opener. Named CACC Coach of the Year for the fourth time, Clinton previously was tapped as the Met Writers Coach of the Year in 1996.
A 6-6 center from Otisville, N.Y., Quimby finished fourth in the CACC in rebounds per game (9.3) and fifth in rebounds (270). He finished 20th in the country in rebounds and was 21st in double-doubles (21). He finishes his career 17th on the Chargers all-time scoring list with 1,187 career points and third all-time with 810 rebounds.
