LATEST NCAA EAST REGION AND NABC POLLS RELEASED

Orangeburg, N.Y. (3/6/13) The latest NCAA Division II and National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) polls have been released and the Dominican College men's basketball team appear in both polls. The Chargers remained fifth in the NCAA East Region Poll and moved up three spots to 20th in the NABC Division II Top 25.

Orangeburg, N.Y. (3/6/13)  The latest NCAA Division II and National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) polls have been released and the Dominican College men's basketball team appear in both polls.  The Chargers remained fifth in the NCAA East Region Poll and moved up three spots to 20th in the NABC Division II Top 25.

Dominican remained in the fifth spot for the second straight week in the NCAA East Region Rankings after posting a 1-0 last week with a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Tournament Quarter-Final win over Chestnut Hill College.

Dominican is one of two teams from the CACC in the rankings as Holy Family Unibersity was ranked 10th.  DC is 3-1 against teams in the Top Ten with wins over #2 Franklin Pierce University, #7 University of Bridgeport and #10 Holy Family University.  Their loss was to #3 Assumption College.

In the NABC poll, the Chargers moved up to 20th after being ranked 23rd last week.

The Chargers have an overall record of 22-5 and will play in the CACC Semi-Finals this Friday.
