MEN'S BASKETBALL RANKED IN NCAA EAST REGION POLL
Orangeburg, N.Y. (2/20/13) The Dominican College men's basketball team has earned the program's first NCAA Division II East Region Top Ten Ranking as was announced by the NCAA today. The Chargers have been ranked sixth in the East Region and is the only team from the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) to be in the rankings.

The Chargers have been ranked sixth in the East Region and is the only team from the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) to be in the rankings.
The Chargers finished the regular season with an overall record of 21-5 and a conference record of 15-3. The team clinched the CACC North Division Title and will host a CACC Tournament Quarter-Final contest on Saturday, March 2nd on Coach Baxter Court at the Hennessy Center.
Dominican has faced three of the teams in the Top Ten with victories over #2 Franklin Pierce University and #9 University of Bridgeport this year. DC fell to Assumption College back in November.
In the 2012-2013 season, DC has also set a new program record as they had a 10-game winning streak that spanned November 25th through January 9th.
In their victory over Goldey-Beacom College on February 16th, the Chargers became the first team in the East Region to reach the 20-win plateau this year.
This was the first NCAA Regional Ranking poll this season.
