BLOOMFIELD COLLEGE UPSETS #25 MEN'S BASKETBALL

(1/15/13) The Bloomfield College men's basketball team erased a double-digit deficit in the final ten minutes of the game to defeat the Dominican College men's basketball team, currently ranked #25 in the NABC/Division II Men's Basketball Poll, 69-68 this evening in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) game played at Bloomfield Gym.

(1/15/13) The Bloomfield College men's basketball team erased a double-digit deficit in the final ten minutes of the game to defeat the Dominican College men's basketball team, currently ranked #25 in the NABC/Division II Men's Basketball Poll, 69-68 this evening in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) game played at Bloomfield Gym.
With the loss, the Chargers fall to 13-3 overall and 7-1 in the CACC. The team also had their program best 10 game winning streak snapped this evening.
Dominican led 57-45 with 9:21 to go in regulation when Bloomfield rallied with a 23-8 run over a span of 9:17 to go ahead 68-65. Senior Leon Porter II (Laurel, Md.) went 3-4 in two separate attempts from the foul line to tie the game for the sixth tied score of the contest at 68-68. A DC foul led BC to the line where they went 1-2 for the 69-68 advantage. Dominican turned the ball over with two ticks left on the clock for the final 69-68 score.
Porter led all scorers with 22 points and five assists, while adding six rebounds and three steals.
Guard Khaleev Ginyard (Brentwood, N.Y.) tallied 10 points, while Cory Quimby* (Otisville, N.Y.) had nine points and eight caroms.
A.J. Burton (New Rochelle, N.Y.) scored 10 points off the bench, while Nick Smith (Middletown, N.Y.) grabbed five boards.
DC returns to the court on Monday, January 21st when they host Felician College on Coach Baxter Court.
