CHARGERS FALL IN FINALE OF 1ST ANNUAL DANIEL SULLIVAN MEMORIAL TOURNAMENT
Orangeburg, N.Y. (11/18/12) The Dominican College men's basketball team fell to the Assumption College Greyhounds, 64-52, this evening in the finale of the 1st Annual Daniel Sullivan Memorial Basketball Tournament. In the first game of the day, the Cougars of Caldwell College defeated the University of Bridgeport, 72-66.

In the first game of the day, the Cougars of Caldwell College defeated the University of Bridgeport, 72-66.
The first half saw ten lead changes and neither team had more then a four point advantage. DC led 13-9 with 12:07 to go in the first half, but the Greyhounds came back with a 13-7 run to pll ahead 23-20 and took a 31-28 lead at the intermission.
Dominican opened the second half with the first four points on as junior Khaleev Ginyard (Brentwood, N.Y.) hit a jump shot and later followed with two free throws to give the Chargers the 32-31 advantage. Later tied at 28-all, Assumption went on a 9-0 run to go ahead 49-40 and would hold th elead en route to the 64-52 victory.
Senior center Cory Quimby* (Otisville, N.Y.) led the Chargers with 11 points and eight rebounds.
Ginyard finsihed with 10 points.
Following the loss, Dominican now stands at 3-2 on the season.
DC is back in action on Sunday, November 25th when they host the University of the District of Columbia at 3pm on Coach Baxter Court at the Hennessy Center.
