CORY QUIMBY SELECTED TO DIIB SUPER 16 TEAM

Orangeburg, N.Y. (10/19/12) Dominican College men's basketball player, Cory Quimby, has been selected to the DII Super 16 Team by Division II Bulletin, a national publication devoted to covering Division II college basketball.

Orangeburg, N.Y. (10/19/12)  Dominican College men's basketball player, Cory Quimby, has been selected to the DII Super 16 Team by Division II Bulletin, a national publication devoted to covering Division II college basketball.

Quimby's preseason recogntion comes after an oustanding junior season.  He started all 28 games in 2011-2012 and was named the Co-Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Player of the Year after averaging 18.1 ppg, 11.4 rpg and accumalating 30 blocks for the year. 

Quimby was also a First Team All-CACC selection, named to the All-Met First Team, the NABC First Team, the Daktronics East All-Region Second Team and was a first-team Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) All-Star choice. 

He ranked third among CACC scoring leaders at 18.1 points per game while adding 11.4 rebounds per contest, which also ranked second among NCAA national leaders.  He was ranked third nationally last season in double-doubles with 20.
