CHARGERS BASKETBALL HANG ON TO DEFEAT NYACK COLLEGE
Nyack, NY (1/26/12) The Dominican College men's basketball team hung on to defeat host, Nyack College, 76-73, this evening in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) game played at the Bowman Center. With the win Dominican improves to 10-7 overall and 3-6 in conference play, while Nyack falls to 0-19 overall and 0-9 in the CACC.

With the win Dominican improves to 10-7 overall and 3-6 in conference play, while Nyack falls to 0-19 overall and 0-9 in the CACC.
Nyack led 19-14 with just under 14 minutes remaining in the first half when the Chargers rallied with an 14-0 run to go ahead 28-19 and held on for an 37-33 lead at the break.
The Chargers led by as many as 10 points (62-52) with 7:36 left to play in regulation, but the Warriors fought back to tie the contest at 69-all with 2:21 to go. DC scored the next four points to push ahead 73-69 and went on to the 76-73 victory.
Junior Cory Quimby* (Otisville, NY) led the Chargers with a double-double of 26 point and a career high 19 rebounds. Guard Leon Porter II* (Laurel, MD) added 19 points and had a game leading 7 assists in the win.
DC returns to action on Saturday when they host, Wilmington University, in a CACC contest scheduled for 3pm on Coach Baxter Court at the Hennessy Center.
