FELICIAN COLLEGE OUTREBOUNDS CHARGERS BASKETBALL IN CACC VICTORY

Rutherford, NJ (2/4/09)  The Felician College men's basketball team outrebounded the visiting Dominican College Chargers, 45-20 this evening en route to an 80-58 victory in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) men's action at Job Gymnasium.

The Golden Falcons, who never trailed, opened up a 43-34 halftime advantage, then outscored the Chargers, 17-6, in the first nine minutes of the second half. Dominican never got closer than an 18-point deficit in the game's final 10 minutes. Andrew August (Bridgewater, NJ) scored 11 points and Kashiff Foster (Somerset, NJ) added 10 for Felician, which shot 49 percent from the field, including 8 for 12 on three-point attempts.

Senior guard Brandon Brock (Newburgh, NY) topped the Chargers (8-13, 3-7) with 16 points, and Will Carty (Bronx, NY) scored 10 points with three assists.

With the victory Felician improves to 11-10 overall and 4-6 in the CACC, while Dominican falls to 8-13 overall and 3-7 in the CACC.

Dominican is back in action when they host Wilmington University in CACC action from Coach Baxter Court at the Hennessy Center.  Game time is set for 3pm for the Bobby Mulligan Game.
