CHARGERS BASKETBALL FALLS TO UNIVERSITY OF THE SCIENCES
Philadelphia, PA (1/31/09) The Dominican College men's basketball team dropped a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) game to host the University of the Sciences in Philadelphia, 62-52, this afternoon at the Morgan Arena.
Senior guard Damien Davis (Windsor, CT) led the team with 13 points, three steals and three assists. Freshman Mike Calzonetti (Gloucester, NJ) added seven points off the bench, while Brendan McManus (Pearl River, NY) had six points. Senior Abdul Sulaiman (Bronx, NY) had four points and six rebounds in the loss.
Tramar Beaman led the Devils with 17 points. Adewale Adefemi had the game's only double-double with 15 points and 16 rebounds, while Curtis Fitch scored 11 points in the win.
USP improves to 6-12 overall and 4-4 in the CACC, while DC falls to 8-12 overall and 3-6 in the CACC.
Dominican is back in action on Tuesday when they travel to Felician College in CACC action. Tip-off is slated for 8pm.
