STONEHILL COLLEGE SKYHAWKS DEFEAT DOMINICAN CHARGERS

Blauvelt, NY (12/30/07) The visiting Skyhawks of Stonehill College defeated the Dominican College Chargers, 91-84 this afternoon in a non-conference men's basketball game on Coach Baxter Court at the Hennessy Center.

STONEHILL COLLEGE SKYHAWKS DEFEAT DOMINICAN CHARGERS 

Blauvelt, NY (12/30/07)  The visiting Skyhawks of Stonehill College defeated the Dominican College Chargers, 91-84 this afternoon in a non-conference men's basketball game on Coach Baxter Court at the Hennessy Center.

AJ Rudowitz (Monroe, NJ) led four Skyhawks in double figures with a game leading 21 points and seven rebounds.  Junior forward Nick Smith (Colonia, NJ) netted 20 points, while Vince Rosario (Perth Amboy, NJ) added 15 points and four assists off the bench in the win.  Junior Matt Hall (Springfield, MA) scored 14 points and four assists.

Brandon Brock (Newburgh, NY) led four Chargers in double figures with 15 points and two steals.  Junior Will Carty (Bronx, NY) netted 14 points (5-11) off the bench, while junior guard Jonathan Guzman (Rutherford, NJ) scored 11 points (2-4 from the three point line) in the loss.  Freshman Tim Matchett (Pitman, NJ) netted 11 points and had a team leading seven rebounds.

With the win, Stonehill improves to 8-6 on the season, while Dominican falls to 5-4 overall.

The Chargers are back in action on Wednesday as they host the 2nd Annual Jim Clancy Tournament.  DC will take on Queens College on Wednesday and will face the University of Bridgeport on Thursday on Coach Baxter Court.  Both games will tip-off at 8pm.
