Felician College Rallies To Defeat Dominican College Chargers, 73-68

Blauvelt, NY (1/24/07) The Felician College Golden Falcons rallied down 34-30 at the half to defeat host Dominican College, 73-68 this evening on Coach Baxter Court in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) men’s action.

Felician College Rallies To Defeat Dominican College Chargers, 73-68             

Blauvelt, NY(1/24/07)          The Felician College Golden Falcons rallied down 34-30 at the half to defeat host Dominican College, 73-68 this evening on Coach Baxter Court in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) men’s action.

DC held a 34-30 lead behind the play of junior Ron Wyatt (Washingtonville, NY) who netted 11 points and five rebounds as the Chargers led by as many as 12 points in the first half.  Senior Sydir Mitchell (Paterson, NJ) led the Falcons with a seven point performance.

Felician took the lead with 17:10 left in the second half as Mitchell netted lay up to put the Falcons up 38-36.  The lead would extend to eight points with nine minutes to go, but DC battled back to cut the lead to three, 66-69 with a minute to play.  However, Felician went 4-6 from the free throw line in the final minute, to extend the lead to 73-68.

The Chargers were led by Wyatt with 22 points and a game leading 15 rebounds.  Prince Jackson (Schenectady, NY) scored 15 points and seven rebounds, while junior Keynon Jackson (Harlem, NY) contributed 13 points and seven rebounds off the bench.

Michael Pierrot (Melville, NY) led the Falcons with 23 points, 10 rebounds and two blocks.  Mitchell finished with 20 points, while Nijel Robinson (Plainsboro, NJ) added 14 points off the bench.

Dominican is back in action on Saturday when they host Wilmington College in the Bobby Mulligan Game.  Game time is slated for 3pm on Coach Baxter Court.
