Felican Edges Dominican, 75-74
Blauvelt, NY (12/8/05)Felician College narrowly defeated Dominican College, 75-74 this evening in CACC action at the Hennessy Center.
Dominican led 39-38 at the half and took a eight point lead at the 11-minute mark on Tahiem Stewart's (Harlem, NY) two free throw shots at 59-51. Felician battled back tying the game at 74-74 on a jumper by Michael Pierrot (Melville, NY). Felician took the lead for good with one minute left in the game as senior Sadot Williams (Irvington, NJ) converted one of two free throws for the final 75-74 score.
Felician was led by Williams with 14 points, highlighting four players in double figures. Charles Boyd (Irvington, NJ) scored 13 points and had four assists, while both Raffinee Williams (Newark, NJ) and Thomas Johnson (Newark, NJ) added 12 points a piece in the win.
For the Chargers, Prince Jackson (Schnectady, NY) also led four players in double figures with 14 points. Freshman Damien Davis (Windsor, CT) chipped in 11 points, while Zerimar Ramirez (Barrington, RI) and Paul Tuomey (Queens, NY) each had 10 points in the loss.
Dominican had the edge on the floor, shooting 55.3% for the game to Felician's 47.1%. From the charity stripe, DC shot 80% while Felician shot 56.4%.
Felician improves to 4-3 and 2-1 in the CACC, while Dominican falls to 2-4 and 2-2 in the CACC.
Dominican will be back in action on December 10 when they host Philadelphia University in a CACC match up at 3pm.
