GOLF FINISHES NINTH AT BAYSIDE RESORT INVITATIONAL

Selbyville, Del. (3/18/13) The Chargers golf team opened up the spring season with a ninth place finish at the Bayside Resort Invitational which was hosted by Dowling College and played at the Bayside Resort on March 16th and 17th.

Selbyville, Del. (3/18/13)  The Chargers golf team opened up the spring season with a ninth place finish at the Bayside Resort Invitational which was hosted by Dowling College and played at the Bayside Resort on March 16th and 17th.

The team finished with a two-day combined score of 669 (332, 337) to place ninth behind Wilmington University (605), St. Thomas Aquinas College (612), Concordia College (630), Dowling College (634), Southern New Hampshire University (643), Bentley University (644), University of Massachusetts-Lowell (644) and American International College (660).

Chestnut Hill College finished in tenth place (684), followed by Holy Family University (729), Felician College (736) and the College of Saint Rose (808).

Junior Keith Prokop (Ramsey, N.J.) was the top finisher for the Chargers as he shot rounds of 74 and 78 for a combined score of 152 and tie for fourth place.

Freshman Brian McGuigan (Hawthorne, N.J.) tied for 48th place with a combined score of 172 (83, 89).

Jeffrey Sabella (Budd Lake, N.J.) had rounds of 90 and 83 for a 50th place finish, while Anthony Schifano (Ramsey, N.J.) took 57th place with a combined score of 178.

The Chargers will compete at the Chestnut Hill College Tournament on Tuesday, March 26th.
