GOLF TAKES 14TH PLACE AT DOWLING COLLEGE SEPTEMBER SHOOT OUT

Riverhead, NY (9/26/11) The Dominican College men's golf team finished in 14th at the Dowling College September Shoot out that was held this past weekend at the Long Island National Golf Links.

Riverhead, NY (9/26/11)  The Dominican College men's golf team finished in 14th at the Dowling College September Shoot Out that was held this past weekend at the Long Island National Golf Links.

As a team, the Chargers combined for a total score of 661 (334-327) to finish in 14th place among the 18 teams that participated in the tournament.

Junior Lewis Morse (Kings Ferry, NY) was the top finisher for the Chargers with a two-day total score of 154 after a round one and two score of 77.

Freshman Anthony Schifano (Ramsey, NJ) shot rounds of 87 and 79 for a combined score of 166, while senior Bryan Romagnoli (Waldwick, NJ) had a total score of 170 (83-87)/

Carlos Fonacier (Valley Cottage, NY) had scores of 91 and 84 to combine for a 175 score, while sophomore Keith Prokop (Ramsey, NJ) finished with a 177 combined score (87-90).

Dominican returns to action this Sunday and Monday when they take part in the St. Thomas Aquinas College Fall Invitational to be played at the Rotella Golf Course.
