GOLF SITS IN 13TH PLACE AFTER ROUND ONE OF NORTHEAST INTERCOLLEGIATE CHAMPIONSHIPS
Berlin, CT (9/19/11) The Dominican College golf team currently sits in 13th place after the opening round of the Northeast Intercollegiate Golf Championships. Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) member, Wilmington University is in first place, while Post University, Goldey-Beacom College, Dowling College and Bentley University round out the top five.

Sophomore Keith Prokop (Ramsey, NJ) is in a tie for 22nd place after round one with scores of 39-40 for a 79 combined score. Freshman Eric Reiher (Milford, PA) sits in a tie for 39th place with a round of 82 (44-38).
Rookie Anthony Schifano (Ramsey, NJ) shot a day one total of 83 (42-41) to put him in a tie for 48th place, while Michael Morton (Hawthorne, NJ) is in a tie for 67th place with an 89 (42-47).
Senior Bryan Romagnoli (Waldwick, NJ) shot a score of 90 (43-47) to round out the Charger scoring for day one.
The final round of the tournament will be played Monday morning beginning at 8am at the Timberland Country Club in Berlin.
