GOLF IN 11TH PLACE AFTER FIRST ROUND OF NEIC CHAMPIONSHIP
Farmington, CT (9/19/10) the Dominican College golf team currently stands in 11th place after the first round of the second annual Northeast Intercollegiate (NEIC) Championship. The tournament is being played on the 6,638 yard, par-72 Tunxis Plantation Golf Course.

As a team the Chargers shot a 327 combined score to be 28 strokes behind the leaders Post University and Wilmington University.
Freshman Keith Prokop (Ramsey, NJ) was the top scorer for the Chargers and is tied for the overall lead with a 73 first round score.
Sophomore Lewis Morse (Aurora, NY) is tied for 56th place after round one with a score of 84. Rookie Brandon Paone (Staten Island, NY) shot a first round score of 85 to be tied with teammate Jeffrey Sabella (Budd Lake, NJ) to stand in 85th place.
Michael Ciabattari (New Hampton, NY) rounds out the Charger scoring with a first round total of 87 to be tied for 62nd place.
DC returns to the course tomorrow for the final round of the Northeast Intercollegiate Championship.
