GOLF TEAM IN FIRST AFTER DAY ONE AT CHARGER CHALLENGE

Blauvelt, NY (10/14/07)  The Dominican College golf team is in first place after day one of the Charger Challenge being held at Spook Rock Golf Golf Course in Suffern, NY.

Dominican shot a team score of 302 to end the first day of competition with a score of 302, St. Thomas Aquinas College is currently in second place with a score of 310.  Adelphi University finished with a 312 score for a third place finish, followed by Pace (313), Dowling (313) who are tied for fourth, Goldey-Beacom College (317), Post University (317) and Wilmington (323).  Felician College, Caldwell College and Philadelphia University all have one hole to finish after play was stopped due to darkness.

Junior AJ Lee (Nanuet, NY) is currently in first place after firing a round of 72.  Dowling's Dan Brown is in second place with a 74.  Dominican's Brian Kivlehan (Mahwah, NJ) is tied for third place with Adelphi's Brant Kummerfield with a 75 first round.  

Charger Brian Mackey (Chestnut Ridge, NY) is tied for fifth place with a 76.  Mike Ciaravino (Islip Terrace, NY) shot a 83, while Tom Lalonde (Red Hook, NY) shot a 79 to round out the Charger scoring.

The Charger Challenge continues tomorrow at the Charger Challenge.
