CHARGERS GOLF FINISHES SIXTH AT ADELPHI UNIVERSITY FALL INVITE 

Blauvelt, NY (10/9/07)  The Chargers golf squad finished in sixth place this past weekend at the Adelphi University Fall Invite hled at Tall Grass Country Club in Shoreham, NY.

The team shot a 314 on the first day and a 317 on day two for a total of 631 (+63).  St. Thomas Aquinas College took first place, followed by Post University, Adelphi University, Assumption College and UMASS-Lowell rounded out the top five.

Senior Brian Mackey (Chestnut Ridge, NY) was the top finisher for Dominican, finishing in a tie for fifth place with rounds of 73 and 76 for a total of 149 (+7).  For his efforts, he was named to the All-Tournament Team.

Junior AJ Lee (Nanuet, NY) finished in a tie for 18th place with a score of 155 (+13), shooting rounds of 76 and 79.  Freshman Thomas Lalonde (Red Hook, NY) finished in a tie for 22nd place with rounds of 78 and 78 for a total score of 156 (+14).

Michael Ciaravino (Islip Terrace, NY) shot rounds of 82 and 81 for a total of 163 (+21) to finish in a tie for 41st place.  Brian Kivelhan (Mahwah, NJ) finished in a tie for 52nd place with a score of 169.

The team is back in action this Sunday and Monday when they host the Charger Challenge being held at Spook Rock Golf Course.
