CHARGERS GOLF FINISHES NINTH AT ECAC CHAMPIONSHIPS
Blauvelt, NY (9/24/07) The Dominican College golf team finished ninth at the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Golf Championships held at Drumlins Country Club in Syracuse, NY.
Le Moyne College captured the Championship with a two day total of 585 (+17) which was three shots better than second place Bryant University and six shots better than third place Adelphi University.
The Chargers finished with a two day total of 603 (+35), shooting rounds of 300 and 303 to put them in ninth place. Among Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) opponents, the Chargers placed second as Wilmington University finished in a tie for fifth place and Goldey-Beacom College finished in 11th place.
Senior captain Brian Mackey (Chestnut Ridge, NY) finished in a four way tie for fifth place among the individuals after shooting a 71 and 73 for a two day total of 145 (+3). Junior AJ Lee (Nanuet, NY) finished in a seven way tie for 37th place after posting rounds of 76 and 76 for a total of 152 (+10).
Sophomore Brian Kivelhan (Mahwah, NJ) tied for 44th place with a total of 153 (75, 78). Michael Ciaravino (Islip Terrace, NY) tied for 50th place with rounds of 79 and 75 for a total of 154 (+12).
Freshman Thomas Lalonde (Red Hook, NY) rounded
out the Charger scoring to finish in a tie for 76th place with
rounds of 78 and 81 for a total of 159 (+17).
