CHARGERS GOLF FINISH FIFTH AT GOLDEY-BEACOM COLLEGE FALL INVITATIONAL
Middletown, DE (9/9/07) The Dominican College Chargers golf squad finished in a tie for fifth place at the Goldey-Beacom College Fall Invitational held at Back Creek/Frog Hollow Golf Course in Middletown, DE this weekend.
The Chargers shot a first round of 312 and a second round of 308 for a two day total of 620 to tie them host Goldey-Beacom College for fifth place in the nine team tournament. Wilmington College took first place with a total of 604, followed by St. Thomas Aquinas College with a 611, Adelphi University with a 613 and Pace University with a 618.
A.J. Lee (Nanuet, NY) finished second, firing rounds
of 74 and 75 for a total of 149. Senior Brian Mackey
(Chestnut Ridge, NY) finished in a tie for eleventh place
with rounds of 76 and 78 for a total of 154. Freshman
Thomas Lalonde (Red Hook, NY) also finished in a
tie for eleventh place with rounds of 82 and 72.
Brian Kivelhan (Mahwah, NJ) and Michael Ciaravino (Islip Terrace, NY) finished in a tie for 37th place to round out the Charger scoring. Kivelhan shot rounds of 80 and 85 for a total of 165, while Ciaravino shot rounds of 82 and 83.
The Chargers are back in action next Sunday and Monday when they travel to the Dowling College Tournament at Long Island National Golf Course.
