Dominican Golf Finishes Twelfth at ECAC Tournament
Syracuse, NY (10/2/06) The Dominican College men's golf team finished twelfth among ninteen teams at the 2006 Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Tournament held at Drumlins Golf Course in Syracuse, NY.
Dominican, who were in sixth place after the first round with a team score of 301, shot a round of 314 this afternoon for a total score of 615 (+47), which put them in twelfth place.
Junior Brian Mackey (Chestnut Ridge, NY) finished the tournament in a tie for fifth place with a total score of 147. He shot a 71 in the first round to be in second place and shot a 76 in the final round for the 147 finish, along with Luke Walters of Dowling College.
Sophomore AJ Lee (Nanuet, NY) finished in a tie for 27th place with a two day total of 153, shooting rounds of 75 and 78. Senior Justin Jacarusso (Suffern, NY) shot a 77 and 79 for a total of 156 to finish in a tie for 48th place.
Senior Anthony Viola (Pomona, NY) finished in a tie for 62nd place with rounds of 78 and 81 for a 159 total score, while freshman Brian Kivlehan (Mahwah, NJ) finished in a tie for 79th place with rounds of 82 and 82 for a total score of 164.
The golf team will compete in the St. Thomas Aquinas College
Fall Classic on October 15 and 16 at the Philip J. Rotella Golf
Course in Thiells, NY.
