MACKEY EARNS CACC GOLFER OF THE WEEK ACCOLADES

New Haven, CT (5/14/07) Brian Mackey, a junior on the Dominican College golf team, has been named the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Player of the Week for the week ending Sunday, May 13. Lee Wanklyn of Post University has been chosen Rookie of the Week.
Mackey, a junior from Chestnut Ridge, NY, was the
top CACC finisher at the NCAA Northeast Region Tournament in
Wheeling, WV. He shot rounds of 78, 78 and 73 for a total of 229
(+16) to place fourth overall.
Wanklyn, a freshman from England, was the top Rookie CACC finisher at the Northeast Region Tournament. He tied for 11th place after firing rounds of 80, 77 and 80 for a total of 237 (+24). Wanklyn was named CACC Rookie of the Week five times this season.

Regional after carding rounds of 76, 74 and 80 for a total of 230
(+17).
