LEACHY AND DELGARDO EARN CACC WEEKLY ACCOLADES

Orangeburg, N.Y. (4/9/13) Dominican College baseball players, Richard Leachy and Nick Delgado have earned Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Weekly accolades as was announced by the conference office today. Leachy was named the Pitcher of the Week, while Delgado was tabbed the Rookie of the Week.

Orangeburg, N.Y. (4/9/13)  Dominican College baseball players, Richard Leachy and Nick Delgado have earned Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC)  Weekly accolades as was announced by the conference office today.  Leachy was named the Pitcher of the Week, while Delgado was tabbed the Rookie of the Week.

Jon McMahon of the University of the Sciences was named the Player of the Week.

Leachy, a junior pitcher from Brookfield, Wis., posted a 2-0 record for the week with one complete game victory.  He pitched 10 innings, allowing one run on 10 hits and two strikeouts. Leachy picked up the win against Post University and through a complete game gainst Mercy while posting a 0.90 ERA for the week.

Delgado, a freshman outfielder from Fort Lauderale, Fla., hit .515 in nine games with 17 hits in 33 at-bats.  He recorded four doubles and three RBIs and had a .543 on-base percentage and a.636 slugging percentage.
