CAMARDELLA NAMED TO NCBWA DIVISION II PRESEASON ALL-REGION EAST TEAM
Orangeburg, N.Y. (2/4/13) Dominican College baseball player, Andrew Camardella, has been named to the 2013 National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) Division II Preseason All-Region Team as was announced by the NCBWA this past Friday. The DC baseball team also made an appearance in the East Region Top 10 as they were in the "others receiving votes" category.

The DC baseball team also made an appearance in the East Region Top 10 as they were in the "others receiving votes" category.
Camardella, a senior from Pelham, N.Y., was named to the East All-Region Second Team as a designated hitter. In 2012, he led team in hits, batting average, doubles, slugging percentage and on-base percentage. He finished second on team in RBIs and third in hits. Camardella ranked eighth in CACC in batting average, while leading the CACC in doubles and ranked in the top ten in the nation in doubles per game. He earned All-CACC First Team honors and American Baseball Coach's Association (ABCA) East All-Region Second Team.
The Chargers baseball squad earned 10 points in the voting to finish 11th in the East Region. DC ended the 2012 season with a 27-26 overall record.
