MALONEY NAMED TO ECAC BASEBALL ALL-STAR TEAM
Orangeburg, NY (6/18/08) Dominican College baseball player, Tommy Maloney, has been named to the 2008 Division II Baseball All-Star First Team as was announced by the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) today.

baseball player, Tommy Maloney,
has been named to the 2008 Division II Baseball All-Star First Team
as was announced by the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC)
today.
Maloney, a sophomore first basemen out of Massapequa Park, NY, finished second on the team with a .324 average, in hits (58), tied for first in doubles (14) and led the team with three home runs, 45 RBIs and 83 total bases. He also had a .984 fielding percentage to lead all starters and led the team with a .464 slugging percentage.
He led the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) in RBIs, was in the top five in doubles and was twelfth in doubles.
Maloney was also recently named to the All-CACC First Team, the 2008 Daktronics Baseball All-Northeast Region Second Team and the 2008 ABCA/Rawlings Division II Northeast Regional Baseball Second Team and the 2008 NCBWA All-Northeast Region Second Team.
The Chargers finished the season with a 28-25 overall record and a 18-9 CACC record. Dominican received the third seed in the CACC Tournament and made to the Championship Game where they lost to #2 Caldwell College.
