CHARGERS BASEBALL SPLITS WITH MERRIMACK COLLEGE
Boca Raton, FL (3/22/08) The Dominican College baseball team split a non-conference double-header with Merrimack College this afternoon at the Santaluces Sports Complex in Boca Raton, FL.
The Chargers took the first game, 3-0 behind starter Tom Kahl's (Bay Shore, NY) eight inning shut out performance.
DC got on the board in the top of the fifth after Drew Dombkowski (Southampton, MA) got a two out single, moved to second on a walk and scored on the 2 RBI double by Jonathan Ryan (Troy, NY).
In the seventh, Michael Munoz (Bronx, NY)
hit an RBI single to score Dan Robinson (Massapequa,
NY) for the final 3-0 victory.
Merrimack struck back to win the second game, 3-0.
The Warriors platted runners in the second, third and fourth innings for the shut out victory.
Jake Halloran got the win for MC, while Brian Craig (Shenandoah, PA) suffered the loss.
The Chargers are back in action on Monday when they play St.
Thomas Aquinas College.
