Forbes, Mejia And Made Earn CACC Baseball Weekly Accolades

New Haven, CT - Robert Forbes of NJIT has been selected as the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Baseball Player of the Week for the week ending Sunday, May 7. Tommy Mejia of Dominican is the Pitcher of the Week selection, while Jose Made of Dominican is the Rookie of the Week.

Forbes, a senior 1B from West Caldwell, NJ, hit .667 in two games last week with one home run, three runs scored and two RBI. He went 2-for-3 with a solo home run against USP and went 2-for-3 with two runs and an RBI against Concordia.

   Mejia has now been named CACC Pitcher of the Week three times this season. The Brooklyn, NY native, earned a victory against Wilmington on Saturday to clinch the CACC regular-season championship for Dominican. He worked 5.2 innings and allowed five hits and one run while fanning three.

 Made is now a three-time CACC Rookie of the Week pick. Made, a freshman shortstop from Binghamton, NY, hit .333 with four RBI, three runs scored, a triple and a stolen base in three games last week. He went 2-for-4 with a triple, two runs and three RBI against Concordia.
