Dominican College Athletics
Dominican College sponsors 12 intercollegiate sports, which
compete for championships at the NCAA Division II level. Dominican
is also a member of the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference
(CACC) a conference comprised of 12 schools from New York, New
Jersey, Connecticut, Delaware and Pennsylvania and the Eastern
College Athletic Conference (ECAC).
Dominican athletes have taken to the field for 30 years, competing
for local, regional and national recognition. Dominican
College’s varsity teams have won numerous conference and
tournament championships, as well as two ECAC Championships. The
athletic program is recognized as one of the finest in the
metropolitan area, among small colleges.
The 25,000 square-foot Hennessy Center is home to the men's and
women's basketball teams, and the women’s volleyball team. An
exercise facility, available to members of the College community,
can also be found at the Hennessy Center along with a fitness
center, suspended track, locker rooms, the athletic department
offices and multi-purpose space. The Hennessy Center gymnasium has
seating for 1000 spectators.
The intramural program at Dominican College offers all students an
opportunity to compete in a structured and competitive setting.
Participation is available in basketball, indoor soccer, softball,
volleyball, and wiffleball.
