DOMINICAN STUDENT-ATHLETES HONOR FOUNDER'S WEEK WITH A WEEKEND OF SERVICE
Orangeburg, N.Y, (10/4/12) Dominican student-athletes helped to culminate Founder’s Week at the school with two days of community service this past weekend.
Orangeburg, N.Y, (10/4/12) Dominican student-athletes helped to culminate Founder’s Week at the school with two days of community service this past weekend.
Members of the men’s and women’s basketball teams, the softball team, and women’s lacrosse team participated in a few service projects in the local community.
The women’s basketball team helped to set up the sister’s festival for the Dominican Sisters. This is an annual project for the team that involves setting up booths, rides and attractions for the festival.
The men’s basketball team, along with women’s lacrosse and softball helped with the United Way day of service at Visions Camp for the Blind in Wesley Hills, NY. The student-athletes helped with craft projects, general cleaning, landscaping, and a variety of other tasks to help improve the facility.
