Men’s Soccer - The men’s soccer team posted a 2-0 record this week, extending their winning streak to eight straight games. The team now stands at 9-1 overall and 4-0 in the CACC. On 9/20, the team won a road game at Post University, 2-0 Kyle Clancy and Jhonny Arteaga both netted goals, with assists going to Diego Miranda and Arteaga. On 9/22, the Chargers hosted St. Thomas Aquinas College and came away with a 2-0 victory. Goals were scored by Ryan Clancy and Miranda and assists were awarded to Robert Kelly, Joe Ruesgan and Kyle Clancy, who had two assists. It will be a quiet week for the Chargers who have only one road game against Holy Family University on 9/29.

Women’s Soccer- The Lady Chargers posted a 2-1 record this week, improving their record to 4-4-1 overall and 3-0-1 in the CACC. On 9/19, Dominican was defeated by, #15 University of Bridgeport, 6-0. The team rebounded on 9/21 with a big CACC win over Post University, 2-0. Jen Ditzig and Kelly Egan-Thorpe both notched goals, with assists awarded to Marie LaMaida and Angela Correia. On 9/24, the Lady Chargers exploded for four goals in the second half to pull out a 4-2 victory over St. Thomas Aquinas College. Pamela Mertens, Ditzig had a goal each, while Correia netted two goals in the win. Michelle Cusano and Egan-Thorpe had assists. Dominican will make up a conference game against Felician on 9/26 and travel to Holy Family University on 9/28. They will wrap up the week with a road game at Philadelphia University on 10/1.

Women’s Volleyball- The women’s volleyball team posted a 2-3 record this week. On 9/21, the Lady Chargers got a road game victory against Felician College, 3-0. Jessica Zanotti led the team with 13 kills, while setter Megan Earl had 24 assists. Freshman Ashley Simpson added 9 kills and Jennifer Rivera had 15 assists. Dominican hosted Molloy College on 9/22 and squeaked by with a 3-2 win. Kinikia Collier led all attackers with 18 kills, while Kaitlin Earl had 14 kills and Tara Leahy added 12 kills in the win. Megan Earl had 51 assists. On 9/24, Dominican was handed two losses by NJIT, 1-3 and Holy Family University, 2-3. Against NJIT, Collier had 14 kills and Zanotti added 12. Megan Earl had 34 assists. In the Holy Family game, Collier had 17 kills, while freshman Theresa Hanneman added 12. Megan Earl amassed 38 assists. The Lady Chargers wrapped up their week with 0-3 loss to LeMoyne College. Megan Earl had 18 assists, while Collier had 8 kills and Hanneman contributed 7 kills. Dominican will host Felician College on 9/27, travel to Wilmington College on 9/29 for CACC games. They will conclude their week with a road tri-match at Goldey-Beacom College on 10/1.
